Born in Canton, China, Thling came to America, and along with her husband, opened Tom Lee Dry Cleaners in New Bedford, where she worked for fifty years before retiring. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening and spending time with her family.
She is survived by a daughter, Frances Deutchman and her companion Paul Costello of Dracut; a son, James Soo Hoo and his companion Diane O’Keefe of Dartmouth; a daughter-in-law, So Kam Soo Hoo of Quincy; four grandchildren, Elaine and David Soo Hoo of Quincy, Eric Deutchman and his wife Katie of Peabody, and Pamela Deutchman of Long Island, NY; a brother, Nee Soon Yee of Danville, CA; and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Yuen Soo Hoo.
Her Funeral will be held Monday, September 11, 2017 at 10:00AM from the ROCK FUNERAL HOME, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford followed by burial in Riverside Cemetery, Fairhaven. Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00PM to 7:00PM.
