Ronald P. Marcotte, age 76 of New Bedford, passed away on Sunday, August 9th, 2020 in St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford after a long illness.
Born in South Weymouth, MA the son of the late Maurice and Claire (Pelletier) Marcotte, he was long time resident of New Bedford, MA. Mr. Marcotte was employed as a Truck Driver for Sid Wainer and later at Building 19.
He enjoyed fishing, motorcycles, and reminiscing about the old days with his sisters.
He is survived by his children, Loraine “Lori” Alty and her husband Fredrick of Florida, April Katsules and her significant other Jose Cubero of New Bedford, Christopher Marcotte of New Bedford and Joey Marcotte; two sisters Jacqueline M. Ferreira of New Bedford and Janet C. Vieira and her husband Ronald of Lakeville and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Maurice Marcotte Jr.
Private services are in the care of the Rock Funeral Home in New Bedford.
