Born in New Bedford, a son of the late Frank A. and Rolande J. (Desaulniers) Gosselin, he lived most of his life in New Bedford. He was a communicant of St. Francis Xavier Parish, Acushnet.
Mr. Gosselin served in the United States Army. He later went on to work as a printer for the New Bedford Standard Times and Fall River Herald. Paul was a huge sports fan. He enjoyed watching the Patriots and the Red Sox. He was also a fan of Lou Gehrig, and he loved to listen to Big Band music like Tommy Dorsey and Glenn Miller.
Paul was a volunteer at St. Luke's Hospital for several years and he enjoyed collecting baseball cards as well.
He is survived by a daughter, Michelle Richard and her husband Jeffrey of Fall River; a son, Brian Gosselin and his wife Theresa of RI; three grandchildren, Abbey Richard, Nicholas Gosselin, and Aidan Gosselin. He was the father of the late Gary Gosselin.
His funeral will be Monday, December 23, 2024, at 9 a.m. from the Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Francis Xavier Parish, Main St., New Bedford. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, New Bedford, MA 02745.
