Born in New Bedford, he was the son of the late Alphonse and Gertrude Bourgeois.
Mr. Bourgeois was a Carpenter for many years before retiring and enjoyed racing pigeons.
He is survived by 4 children, Paul Bourgeois Jr., Edward Bourgeois and his wife Linda, Lisa Malcolm and her husband Jevon and Crystal Bourgeois; a brother, Raymond Bourgeois; an aunt, Beatrice St. Laurent; 9 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; several nephews, nieces and cousins.
His funeral will be held, Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at 9:30 AM from the ROCK Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford, followed by his funeral mass at 11 AM in St. Joseph-St. Therese Church, Acushnet Ave., New Bedford. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Visitation 9:30-10:30 AM Tuesday prior to the mass.
