Patricia F. Clermont, age 79, of East Freetown passed away Monday, February 26, 2018 at St. Luke’s Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born in New Bedford she was the daughter of the late Lionel and Agnes (Baroa) Rapoza.
A graduate of New Bedford High School and Mount Ida College, Patricia worked over 50 years at St. Luke’s Hospital as a microbiologist. She loved traveling, gardening shopping and using social media. She was an avid lover of cats and giraffes. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her friends and family who all referred to her as mom.
Survivors include two sons: Marc Clermont and his spouse Brian Monahan of Lowell, David Clermont of East Freetown, a step son, Michael Clermont and his wife Sandy of Acushnet, a grandson Joshua Weaver and his mother Aprile Clermont both of Florida, a sister Pamela Rapoza of New Bedford and two brothers: Robert Rapoza of East Freetown and Lionel Rapoza of Acushnet. She was the step mother of the late Lee Clermont.
Her visitation will be on Friday March 2, 2018 from 4-8pm at the ROCK Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford. Her prayer service will be held on Saturday March 3, 2018 at 9am at the funeral home. Burial is private.
