Born in St. Michael, Azores, a daughter of the late Joao and Maria (Mota) Pires. Maria was a graduate of New Bedford High School. Maria was a homemaker and a loving and proud mom to her son, Trevor. Family was of the utmost importance to Maria; she enjoyed relaxing on the beach, cooking for her family and enjoying her two pups.
In addition to her loving husband Paul, she is survived by the light of her life, her son Trevor Pacheco of Fairhaven; her siblings, Guilhermina, Gloria, John, Eduarda, Lucy and Natalie; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Maria’s honor should be made to a charity of one’s choice.
