The daughter of the late James and Anita (Souliere) Coggeshall, she was born in New Bedford and lived in Acushnet for the last 48 years. She was a graduate of Bishop Stang High School and received her BA from Emmanuel College, Boston. She taught at DeValles Elementary School for 37 years until her retirement, continuing her involvement in education by joining various organizations. She enjoyed travelling, the theater, was an avid reader and a skilled knitter.
She is survived by her sister, Norma Roderiques, a niece, Sara Garafola and husband, Peter, bonus family members, Kyle and Aria Roderiques, and many wonderful, caring friends including the “Knitters” and “Pig Outs”. A special thank you to the VNA Southcoast Hospice for all their kindness and help.
Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at 9:00am from the ROCK FUNERAL HOME, followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. Mary’s Church, 343 Tarkiln Hill Rd., New Bedford. Visitation will be held prior from 9:00am – 9:30am in the ROCK FUNERAL HOME, 1285 Ashley Blvd. New Bedford, MA 02745. Burial in Rural Cemetery.
