Lorraine M. Lantz

Lorraine M. (Chenette) Lantz, 72, of Fairhaven passed away Monday, April 24, 2017 in Brandon Woods after a long illness. She was the beloved wife of Philip A. Lantz with whom she shared 31 years of marriage.

Born in Acushnet, a daughter of Roland and Leona (Lapointe) Chenette of New Bedford she was a lifelong area resident.

Lorraine worked as a stitcher. She and her husband enjoyed traveling and camping. They traveled throughout New England and even ventured to Mount Rushmore. She loved lighthouses. She and Philip enjoyed visiting many lighthouses over the years and taking in their splendor and admiring their beauty. Lorraine was also an animal lover and she had a soft spot in her heart for cats.

In addition to her husband and her parents, she is survived by two sons, Brian Cole and his wife Paula of Maine and William Cole of New Bedford; a daughter, Crystal Coffey and her husband Jerry of Lima, OH; three grandchildren; one great grandchild; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Her funeral will be Thursday, April 27, 2017 at 10 am in the ROCK FUNERAL HOME, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday 4-7 pm. For online registration/directions www.rock-funeralhome.com.
