Leslie P. Ruiz

Born in New Bedford, she was the daughter of Alberto M Arsenio and Maria (Pacheco) Arsenio.

Leslie graduated from the Greater New Bedford Vocational High School out of her graduating class third highest with honors, she worked for Youth Build as a Case Manager for children’s education, and Mc Donald’s for many years as a manager. She had the greatest sense of humor, loved to make people laugh, enjoyed art and getting tattoos, she enjoyed music and dancing. Spending time with her family was very important, especially spending time with her daughters with whom she cherished. She will be deeply missed by many.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her loving daughters, Lailani Ruiz and her fiancé Chucky Lund of New Bedford. Daughter Aliana Ramos, along with Aliana’s father, Wayne Ramos; her sister, Stephanie Arsenio and her companion Pedro of New Bedford; two nieces, Jazlynn Valentin, and Jaeliana Valentin; a nephew/godson, Jahadrian Valentin; her godparents, Ernesto and Maria Pacheco of New Bedford; her godparents Jeremias and Fatima Medeiros; her cousin, Kevin Pacheco of New Bedford; an uncle Jose Pacheco; and uncles, aunts and cousins in St. Michael Azores and Canada.

Her visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 from 9:00am – 10:15am in the ROCK FUNERAL HOME, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford, MA 02745, followed by her funeral mass at 11:00am at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church, 136 Earle St. New Bedford, MA. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery.
