Born in Providence, Joey was a longtime resident of New Bedford. Joseph was a union Mason for many years. Always striving for perfection, Masonry became more than just a job for Joey. Joey also deeply loved his dog Onyx; his best friend. Joey enjoyed meals with his loved ones, sharing his favorite memories with those around him, and video games with his friends. Above all, Joseph loved the value of family, and his family meant everything to him.
Joseph leaves behind his parents, Rona Duff and her husband Jamie of Swansea and Joseph Ribeiro of New Bedford; a brother Jake Hunter Ribeiro of Swansea; his step-brother Kyle Mark Duff and his wife Maleja of Fall River; his step-sister Kelsey Ann Duff of CA; his maternal grandmother Lorraine F. Barboza of Assonet; his paternal grandparents, Joaquim and Gloria Ribeiro of Foxboro; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was the grandson of the late Francis Barboza.
