Elaine Silverberg

Elaine (Medeiros) Silverberg, age 77, of Plympton, peacefully passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Glenn Martin Silverberg Sr. with whom she shared 37 years of marriage.

Born in Acushnet, she was the daughter of the late Manuel P. and Alice (Lawrence) Medeiros.

Elaine worked in the Banking industry as a Loan Servicing Administrator for many years, and received her associate’s degree in Business from Kinyon Campbell Business School. She was a life-long New Bedford resident and was very active in her church, First Church of Nazarene. Spending time with her family was very important. Elaine loved playing and being with all her grandchildren. She enjoyed volunteering at the high school as a band-parent, knitting, camping, gardening and playing card games on Friday nights. She will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her children, Glenn M. Silverberg Jr. and his wife Erin of Plympton, Jeffrey Silverberg and his wife Danielle of Plymouth, and Ann Silverberg of Dartmouth; seven grandchildren, Thomas, Sara, Pyper, Nicholson, J.J., Addie and Shayne; three brothers, Joaquim, Leonard and Larry. She was the mother of the late Scott M. Silverberg and grandmother to the late Shayla Silverberg.

Her visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 from 9:00am-11:00am, followed by a 11:00am funeral service in the ROCK FUNERAL HOME, 1285 Ashley Blvd. New Bedford, MA 02745. Burial in Acushnet Cemetery. For on-line tributes: www.rock-funeralhome.com
