Donald M. Lamothe, 59, of Acushnet, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Cheryl (Levrault) Lamothe, with whom he shared over 30 years of marriage.
Born in Fall River, he was the son of Maurice Lamothe of Tiverton, RI and Georgette (Goyette) Lamothe of Caspar, Wyoming.
Don owned and operated Maurice Lamothe Sewer Rooter Service for 20 years, and was a meat cutter for numerous years. In recent years, Don enjoyed cooking, making model airplanes, playing video games and spending quiet times with the love of his life, Cheryl, and their cat Cleo. For years, Don loved fishing, quahogging, diving for lobsters, and was an avid bike rider.
In addition to his parents and wife, he is survived by his brothers, Roger Lamothe of Fall River, and Michael Lamothe and his wife Lisa of Fall River; his sisters, Rochelle Lamothe of Tiverton, RI, and Denise Sherwin and her husband John of Casper, Wyoming; several nieces and nephews, and especially enjoyed time spent with his nephew Raymond Letourneau. Don touched many hearts, and will be deeply missed.
