David A. Sisson, 48, of Dayville, CT and formerly of Fairhaven passed away unexpectedly Thursday, December 8, 2016 in his residence five days before his birthday. He was the husband of Glenn Veronesi with whom he shared ten years of marriage.
Born in New Bedford, a son of the late Charles and Rozaline (Camacho) Sisson he lived most of his life in Fairhaven and most recently moved to Dayville, CT to live with family.
David graduated from Fairhaven High School in 1986 where he was active in the marching band. He worked for Shaw’s Supermarkets as an exceptional baker.
David was a huge Bon Jovi fan. He went to many, many concerts during his short life. He was also a Patriots fan and he enjoyed getting together with his high school friends. The most important thing for David was being with his many friends, family and cousins.
In addition to his husband, he is survived by aunts, Zolmira “Zel” DeSilva and Judy Polchlopek both of Mattapoisett; his cousins, Susan Glaser and her husband Paul of Easton, Teresa Shirley-Quirk of Baltimore, MD, Attorney Kathleen Burns and her husband Daniel of Westport, Kim Newton and her husband Robert of Dartmouth, Michael Camacho and his wife Ellen of Lakeville, Mark Camacho and his husband David Jeffries of Houston, TX and Valerie Fisher and her husband Barry of Charlton, MA, and many nieces, nephews and great cousins.
His funeral will be Thursday, December 15, 2016 at 10 am in the ROCK FUNERAL HOME, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Fairhaven. Visitation will be Wednesday 4-7 pm. www.rock-funeralhome.com for online tribute/directions.
