Born in Manhattan, New York, a son of Pedro Arroyo and Jenny Rodriguez, he had resided in Puerto Rico for 15 years before moving to Acushnet.
Daniel was a member of the Christian Fellowship Center in New Bedford. He enjoyed watching baseball and spending time reading the Bible.
Surviving in addition to his parents are three sisters, Angelina Arroyo of New York, Janet Moniz and her husband Richard of Acushnet, and Annette Arroyo of New Bedford; and one brother, Pedro Arroyo, Jr. of Pennsylvania.
