Christine leaves behind her beloved husband Joseph Tarini, sister Michelle (Bouchard) Galica of New Jersey, brother Jean of Washington State; nephew Jonathan, his wife Denise, and great-niece Whiskey Belle of NH, niece Erika of New Bedford, and many cousins in the New Bedford area, as well as dear friends who were her loving extended family.
Christine graduated from St. Anthony High School in New Bedford, and attended Bristol County Community College in Fall River.
Before her retirement, Christine worked at Grape Street Orthopedics for many years, ending her career as Office Manager. Christine was active in her community, having taught First communion classes at Our Lady of Fatima church, as well as being involved in their Youth Group. Christine volunteered as an “end of life” visitor for patients to which she gave comfort through reiki.
Christine was an avid bowler, reiki practitioner and lover of all animals, especially, over the years, her family of cats. With friends and family, Christine loved to go out and listen to music and dance the night away. She was known for her delicious potato salad and grapenut pudding. Christine loved to visit the Clydesdales in Lakeville, MA as well as the miniature horses and donkeys at the Peace for Ponies Farm in Buzzards Bay. There wasn’t an animal that she met she didn’t want to love and take care of.
Christine will be missed by all who knew her.
