Born in New Bedford, the daughter of Mary A. (Rufino) Pina and the late Manuel Pina, she was a lifelong resident of the city. She was a graduate of New Bedford High School.
Mrs. Pina-Correia had worked at Bank of Boston, the New Bedford School Department and tended bar at the Buttonwood Café.
Cheryl loved spending time with her beloved family and friends including cousin, Jeff Jackimocz and close friends, Harriet Mendes and Barry Lima. She enjoyed cooking, watching movies, listening to music and playing the Mass Lottery.
Surviving in addition to her mother are two brothers, Dennis Pina and his wife Darlene and Steven Pina and his wife Diana; eleven grandchildren; four nieces, one nephew, one great-niece, two great-nephews and three aunts.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Memorial Service on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 3pm in the ROCK FUNERAL HOME, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford. Visiting hours will be prior from 12-3pm. Burial is private.
