Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late Willard A. and Dorothy (Mello) Haydt she was a lifelong area resident.
Carol worked as a cook at U-Mass at Dartmouth, Pumpernickel’s, Thad’s, and Cathay Temple. In her spare time, she enjoyed going to Aruba, going on cruises and trips to Foxwoods.
She is survived by her brother-in-law, David Poitras of New Bedford, a sister-in-law Theresa Haydt of RI; a niece, Elizabeth Lolio of FL; and a great nephew, Anthony Lolio of RI. She is the twin of the late Susan Poitras and sister of the late Alan Haydt.
Her visitation will be held on Friday, November 26, 2021 from 4-6 PM with a Funeral Service at 6 PM in the ROCK FUNERAL HOME, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford. Burial will be private. For online tribute/directions, www.rock-funeralhome.com.
