Beatrice Bodeau

Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late Arthur and Elodce (Dupuis) Bachand, she was a lifelong resident of the southcoast. She was employed as a stitcher for many years at the Cameo Curtain Co. prior to her retirement.

She loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She enjoyed knitting, reading, traveling and playing the Penny slots. She also enjoyed the many camping trips over the years with her beloved husband, as well as their many trips to Florida.

She is survived by her children, Paul Bodeau and his wife Jill of Rochester and Richard Bodeau and his wife Carol of New Bedford. She was the grandmother of 11 grandchildren and many, many great and great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Raymond Bodeau and was predeceased by many brothers and sisters.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at 10:00AM in St. Mary’s Church, Tarkiln Hill Rd., New Bedford. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00PM in the ROCK FUNERAL HOME, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford, MA 02745. Burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
