Arthur F. Laliberte

Arthur F.D. Laliberte, age 94, of Rehoboth, died on Friday, March 25, 2022 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of the late M. Loretta (Labonte) Laliberte who he was married to for 54 years and the late Florida Poirier.

Born in Acushnet, the son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Miller) Laliberte, he lived in East Freetown for 63 years before moving to Rehoboth.

Mr. Laliberte had worked at Tripp’s Farm in Acushnet and Schmidt Equipment in Swansea for over 30 years.

Survivors include his son, Robert Laliberte and his wife Constance of Brownsville, California; a daughter, Sheryl and her husband Ronald Vincelette of Rehoboth; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; a sister, Lina Bertrand of Dartmouth; and a brother, Paul Laliberte of Lakeville; as well as nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Edmond Laliberte of Acushnet.

Arthur was a kind and authentic man who helped those he knew along the way. In his honor, it would be a beautiful tribute to help someone in need. In lieu of flowers please consider an act of kindness to a senior in need.

His visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 from 8:00 – 9:30 AM in the ROCK FUNERAL HOME, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford with a 10:00 AM Funeral Mass in St. John Neumann Church, East Freetown. Internment at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited.
