Antonio Bettencourt, 64, of Indiantown, FL and formerly of New Bedford passed away Sunday, November 22, 2020 in the Treasure Coast Hospice Facility in Stuart, FL. He was the husband of Filomena (Brum) Bettencourt.
Born in Sao Miguel, the son of the late Arturo and Cremilde (Pereira) Bettencourt. He
lived most of his life in this area.
Mr. Bettencourt worked as building maintenance at the Mariner Health Care in the Northend of the City. He was truly a jack of all trades and a gifted gardener. He also enjoyed spending Quality time with his grandchildren whom he loved so much. He had a big heart & was a true animal lover.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Bruce Bettencourt and his fiancé Holly of Acushnet and Brian Bettencourt of Dartmouth; three grandchildren, Chelsea and her fiancé Patrick, Tyler & Nicole, and Logan; siblings, Virginia, Merces, Yolanda, Mary, Manuela, Nicole, and Freddy; and many nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be Friday, December 4, 2020 at 9 a.m. from the ROCK FUNERAL HOME, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in at 10 a.m. in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 1359 Acushnet Ave., New Bedford.
