Andre P. Trahan passed away peacefully on Monday, September 27, surrounded by his family. He was happiest when he was cooking, shooting pool, and gardening; while always spending his time with friends and family. He warmed the house during the holidays with his Thanksgiving Gravy and never missed a day watching "The Price is Right" at 11am at the VFW. It was often said with absolute certainty that he was the uncrowned clam boil king. His love for classic rock and the show “M.A.S.H.” showed his passion for life.
Andre was a steam fitter by trade and a member of the Local 51 Union. He loved his work and especially his coworkers who quickly turned into family. He also picked up his signature style from his profession, a fresh bandana to fit every day and mood. It was not often that you would find him without one.
Andre is survived by his parents Andre and Rose, his children Andrew and Erin, and his siblings Norma, Robert, Kenneth, Peter, and Matthew, along with his beloved nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, October 24, 2021 from 1-4 p.m. in the Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford.
In place of flowers, the family asks for donations in honor of Andre to be made to Shriner’s Hospital for Children.
