Wilma Lucille (Cox) Short

Wilma Lucille (Cox) Short, 86, died Thursday, October 24, 2019. The daughter of the late William and Inez Sympson Cox, she was born July 1, 1933 in Glasgow, Kentucky. Wilma retired from the U.S. Census Bureau and was a former member of Cook Memorial UMC in Jeffersonville. For many years, she did volunteer work at Clark Memorial Hospital and the American Red Cross. Wilma was preceded in death by her parents; son, David Rodman Short; and siblings, Glenn Cox, Arnold Cox, Wendell Cox, Francis Cooper, and Nelda Thomas. She is survived by two daughters, Wilma Jo Spencer (Donnie) and Donna S. Bagshaw (fiancé, Jerry); brothers, Don and Billy Cox; grandchildren, Jaime Baker, Laurie Kaho, Ashlee Bagshaw, Brooke Dimmitt, and Troy Bagshaw; and great grandchildren, Reese and Sydney Baker, Jillian and Allison Kaho, Lucas Dimmitt, Grace Dimmitt, and Conner Wilson. Visitation will be 10 am ~ 2 pm Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, IN. Her Funeral Service will be 2 pm Saturday in the Kraft Spring Street Chapel with private burial to follow in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany.
