Virginia E. (Buhler) Wenning, 95 years of age died Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at The Villages of Historic Silvercrest with her family by her side. Virginia was born June 24, 1923 in New Albany, Indiana and was the widow of her husband of 49 years, William H. Wenning. She was a wonderful wife, mom, granny, homemaker. She enjoyed retirement in Bradenton, Florida since 1980 and for 23 years after the death of her husband in 1995. Virginia was a lifelong and founding member of the First Church of God in Georgetown, Indiana and she will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by her family and friends.
Survivors include her son, Tim Wenning (Cheryl); four grandchildren, Michelle, Jeffrey, Gregory, and Heather; ten great grandchildren, Breanna, Seth, Dylan, Keith, Katlin, Chloe, Laken, Grayson, Hudson, and Sawyer-Rae; and one great great grandson, Mason.
A Memorial Reception and Service will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, October 14, 2018, at The Villages of Historic Silvercrest, #1 Silvercrest Drive, New Albany, Indiana. Private entombment was in the Chapel of Memories at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany, Indiana.
