Sandra "Sandy" Helen Muir

Sandra "Sandy" Helen Short Muir, 79, of New Albany, Indiana entered into rest on Sunday, February 12, 2023, at her residence. Sandy was born to the late Rodman Short and Altie (Jones) Short on February 10, 1944, in Glasgow, Kentucky. Sandy was retired from Pillsbury with over 36 years of service. She and her husband Jim attend Wesley Chapel Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, Sandy was preceded in death by her brothers, Herbert, Rodman Jr., John "J.C." and Kenneth; her sisters, Ruby Elizabeth and Phyllis Lee; and a stepson, Gene Cherry. Sandy is survived by her husband of 27 years, James Browder "Jim" Muir; brothers, Jim (Joyce), Donnie (Terri) and Billy (Carlotte); her sisters, Linda Shaw and Beverly (Wayne) Wells; stepchildren, Troy (Tamesha) Muir and Janet Muir; and a host of nieces, nephews, step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren. Visitation for Sandy will be held Monday, February 20, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Rd, New Albany, Indiana 47150. Funeral service will be Monday, February 20, 2023, at 2:00 PM, at the funeral home with private burial in Kraft Graceland Memorial Park.
