Ronald "Ron" Waymond Davis

Ronald "Ron" Waymond Davis, of Sellersburg, Indiana passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2022, at the age of 75. Son of Mildred and Edward Davis. Ronald was born on December 13, 1947 in Louisville, Kentucky.

After graduating from Silver Creek High School, he enrolled in the United States Navy where he served for four years. In 1969 while stationed in Japan, he met the love of his life, his amazing wife, Akiko, at the Navy base. She was working in the tour office when he first met her, but then fate stepped in and she was moved to the office across the hall from him. They wed in 1970, and welcomed their first daughter, Miki in 1971. Six years later they welcomed their second daughter, Michelle. Ron worked at Ashland Oil/ Marathon in Ashland, Kentucky for over 30 years before retiring and moving to Indiana.

Ron enjoyed many things in his life but nothing was more important to him than spending time with his family. He loved taking family vacations over the years, most recently on an Alaskan cruise. He also loved golfing, gardening, and playing games with family and friends.

Ron is survived by his wife, Akiko, daughters, Miki (Joe) and Michelle (Holly), grandchildren Kyle and Kelsey, and his great-grandson, Embry.

A memorial visitation for Ronald will be held Friday, December 30, 2022, from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Rd, New Albany, Indiana 47150.
