Robert L. "Bob" Philpott, Sr. 63, died Sunday August 15, 2010 at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany.
Robert retired from Rainbow Bread Co. after more the 20 years and was a member of the Teamsters Local #89 and VFW Post #3281 in New Albany. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dianne Philpott.
Survivors include children, Jeff Philpott, Tina Martin, Louis Philpott (Markita) and Robert Philpott Jr. (Carrie); brothers, Irvin Warnall and Joe Downing; sister , Brenda Rhorer; and nine grandchildren.
Visitation will be from noon-8 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring St., New Albany. His funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at Kraft Funeral Chapel with burial to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
The family requests expressions of sympathy be made to the American Cancer Society .
