Phyllis A. Richert

Phyllis A. Bacon Richert 72 years of age died Friday, September 30, 2011 at her residence in Clarksville, IN. Phyllis was born January 3, 1939 in New Albany, IN to the late Sheldon and Margaret Cunningham Bacon. She was formerly a teacher’s aide at the old McCullough School in Clarksville, worked in the Small Business Development Center of Kentucky at Bellarmine College in Louisville, and retired as an Administrative Assistant with Presbyterian Homes and Services in Louisville. Phyllis was a member of the Clarksville School Board for some twelve years and was a member of Charity Baptist Church in Clarksville, IN. She will be greatly missed by all her family, friends, and fellow employees’ who knew her throughout her life. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Tony Bacon.

Eight Grandchildren: Eric, Bryan, Ellen, Kate, Collin, Ken, Shawn, and Stacey.

Three Great-Grandchildren: Scott, Sydney, and Keria.

Brother: Don Bacon (Wanda) Clarksville, IN

Sister-In-Law: Marilyn Bacon New Albany, IN

Visitation from 2:00 pm ~ 8:00 pm Monday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring St., New Albany, IN. Her Funeral Service will be 10:00 am Tuesday October 4th, at the Kraft Spring St. Chapel with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
