Paul T. Monks, 78 years of age passed away on August 14, 2020. He was born on February 13, 1942 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late James and Katie Monks. Paul was a veteran of the United States Air Force and retired from Kitchen Kompact in Jeffersonville. Paul attended church at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Louisville and was a member of numerous VFW Posts, Moose Lodge, Louisville Radio Control Club, AMVETS, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Along with his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his longtime companion, Clara Wisman; siblings, James Monks, Gordon “Spike” Monks, Jack Monks, Mollie Haines, Ray Monks, Bert Monks; grandson, Phillip Monks, Jr.
He is survived by his children, Phil Monks (Teresa), Lisa Green, Denise Lanci (Eddie), Glen Monks (Joy), Renee May (Todd); brother, Phil Monks (Fran); 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana 47150. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday at the funeral home chapel with burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery in Shepherdsville, Kentucky.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy to American Cancer Society or Hosparus Health.
