Ozzie Ray Daniel Thompson

Our beautiful boy, Ozzie Ray Daniel Thompson, crossed the rainbow bridge on Thursday, June 16, 2022. Oz was born February 16, 2020 to Brian Matthew Thompson and Malisa Anne Thompson. He came into the world that day by complete surprise and was an absolute joy to everyone who knew him. Along with his parents, he's leaving behind three beautiful big sisters - Olive "Sissy" Kyle, aged 11, Harper Averie Kyle, aged 9, and Lucy Annabelle Kyle, aged 7. He will missed by many, but none more than his family: his paternal grandparents, Sharon and James (Jim) Thompson of Floyds Knobs, Indiana; his adoring uncle Scott Thompson of New Albany, Indiana; his uncle Kevin, Aunt Kristen, and two first cousins Lewis and Lenore Thompson of Louisville, Kentucky; his maternal great grandmother Lucretia Cazares Schneider; his maternal grandparents Robert and Barbara "BB" Pence; his aunt Dominique Ruiz and her husband uncle Ethan Thais.

Ozzie was the sweetest and most precious gift to this world. He was an absolute firecracker who loved to laugh as much as he loved to cuddle. He was born with a wisdom and gentleness beyond his years and never missed an opportunity to do things all by himself. Ozzie started walking at 8 1/2 months old, and it was nearly impossible to slow him down. He was the boss everywhere he went, and no one seemed to mind. Being the blessing he was to our family, we made the decision to continue sharing his gifts through his passing by donating to the Kentucky Organ Donors Association. He left this world a hero, and we hope through his contribution that he can save even one family from ever having to experience such a great loss.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 21 from 4-8 pm at Kraft Funeral Home on Spring Street in New Albany, Indiana. His Celebration of Life Service will be held at the same location on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at 6 pm. Donations can be made in his name to Norton Children's Hospital.
