Norma Lee Stilger, 96, of Georgetown, Indiana passed away peacefully on Friday, May 12, 2023. Norma was born in Georgetown, Indiana on April 28, 1927, to the late Fred M. and Elenora Eisenmenger Traub. She was a retired administrative assistant from Grace Lutheran Church and Mutual Trust Bank. Norma was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, LWML, and was a former leader for the Floyd County 4-H. She served as a volunteer for over 30 years with the Floyd Memorial Auxiliary.
She was a wonderful seamstress who spent countless hours making banners for her church. She enjoyed cooking for her friends, family and her church and working jigsaw puzzles. Norma and her husband were avid square dancers and she spent countless hours creating quilt tops her mother quilted. Most of all she loved her family and enjoyed visits from her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by siblings, Frederick H. Traub, Georgia Steinwedel, Ruth M. Suster, Emma J. Lamar and Herbert E. Traub.
Norma is survived by her husband of 73 years, Maurice Peter Stilger; children, Maurice L. Stilger (Anita), Mary Ann Delaney (Larry), Susan Adoba (Jim), Janet Staley and Kathy Drake (Paul); ten grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 East Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana 47150.
Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am on Thursday, May 18, 2023, at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church,
5231 SR. 62, Georgetown, Indiana 47122 with burial to follow in Edwardsville Cemetery.
