Michael J. Austin

New Albany, Indiana MICHAEL J. AUSTIN, 57 years of age, died Thursday, April 7, 2011 at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany. Michael served in the 151st Infantry Division of the Indiana National Guard, attended The Church of God and was a long-time employee of the Courier-Journal. Survivors include his son, Michael William Austin; mother, Anna E. Austin (Keith); brother, Randal Austin (Daisy); sisters, Diana Schwandt (Marvin), Janet Riggs (Larry), Rita Marple, Alisa Lawson (Don), Yvonne Harvey (Mike) and Sharon Griffin (Tim); grandson, Nicholas William Austin; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, John W. Austin. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm ~ 8:00 pm Friday, April 8, 2011 at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. His Funeral Service will be 10:00 am Saturday, April 9, 2011 in the Kraft Chapel with private burial to follow in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany.
