Marie Wolfe

Marie Wolfe, age 87, of Jeffersonville, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2023. Marie was born on April 1, 1936, to the late Ollie and Lucille (Wooldridge) Hayes. Marie was a hard-working lady and an entrepreneur. She owned her own restaurant called Mario’s for a number of years before owning and operating her own Elderly Care Home called Green Pastures for 35 years. Marie was a selfless and giving soul with a heart of gold. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, friend, and caregiver to many and will be greatly missed. Along with her parents, Marie is preceded in death by a sister, Doris Salvant; and a brother, William Hayes. Marie leaves behind her children, one daughter, Noel Hutchings; three sons, Ronald Parish, Donald Parish (Kathleen), and John Cook; grandchildren, Alysa Cook, Ronald Parish, Lisa Parish, and Kyle Hutchings (Marlena); great-grandchildren, Kayla Parish, Mackenzie "Kenzie" Parish, Caitlin Parish, Brooklyn Parish, Max Hutchings, and Isabella Hutchings; nieces, Joan (Salvant) Leblanc, Sydney Salvant, Lori Ann Salvant, and Jennifer Williams; nephews, Jimmy Hayes (Diane), and Jonathan Hayes; great nieces and nephews, Bobbie Hayes, Ashley Brehardth, Wilmer Salvant, Stephanie Roth, Crystal Butler, Courtney Salvant, Leslie Spain, Sean Leblanc/Des, John Leveque, Whitney Salvant, Hannah Hayes, Jonathan Andrew Hayes Jr."Drew", Chris Williams, Spencer Williams; great-great nieces and nephews, Jude, Nolan, Elam, Chrystal, Billy Butler, Ellie, Rowan, Noah, Kaelee Spain, Parker Leblanc, Peyton Leblanc, Robert Maxwell, Taeler Maxwell, Caine Maxwell, Quincey Smith Reliegh, Blake, Isabella, Madelyn, Jonathan Berger, Nora, Walker, Sadey, and Luna. A visitation for Marie will be held Tuesday, April 11, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Rd, New Albany, Indiana 47150. A memorial service will occur Friday, April 14, 2023, at 11:00 AM, 2776 Charlestown Rd, New Albany, Indiana 47150. Inurnment will take place following the memorial service in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. Donations in Marie’s memory may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation at www.parkinson.org.
