Mable Francis Powell, 61 years of age died Wednesday July 27, 2011 at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany surrounded by family and friends. She was born February 9, 1950 in Henry County, Kentucky to the late Stephen and Martha (Bondurant) Brown. Mable retired from Mercer Trucking in Louisville and was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, William O. Powell, and brother, Vance Brown, Sr.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. Her funeral service will be held 10:00 am Saturday at the Kraft Charlestown Rd. Chapel with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, Indiana.
