Kathy Ann (Triplett) Futral

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Deldon; parents Bill and Barbara Triplett; cherished sister Kimberly Triplett and brothers Keith and Kevin Triplett. She is survived by her children Kyle Kark and Keeley (Shawn) Goodale, brother Steve (Maria) Triplett, nieces Amy (Lance) Cooper and Amber Triplett; nephews Lee, Adam and Brian Triplett; cherished friend George Gregory… and most importantly her pride and joy - granddaughter Katelyn Marie Goodale.

Kathy was a life-long learner and educator. She obtained her undergraduate degree from Indiana State University and held Master’s degrees from Indiana Weslyan University and the University of Montevallo. She was a woman who taught by being and she will be missed by all who knew her. She had a large personality and lit up the room. If you couldn’t see her, you could most definitely hear her; she loved to talk. If you talked to Kathy in recent years you were sure to have heard about her Katie Bear. She was a devoted Grammy and often said her life was made complete the day she got her Katelyn Marie.

A Memorial Reception will be 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the St. Vincent DePaul Society at Holy Family Catholic Church.
