John “Brian” Mattingly, 49 years of age passed away Thursday, January 14, 2016 in Louisville, KY. He was born November 25, 1966 in Jeffersonville, IN, was an employee at Town & Country Ford in Louisville, and had served as a reserve officer on the New Albany Police Department. Brian had many interests and hobbies in his life, he was an avid fisherman, a lover of all animals, he loved music and enjoyed playing his guitar, he enjoyed repairing and restoring cars, and more recently became an avid photographer. Brian was also a member of the K&I Four Wheelers Club, but most of all Brian enjoyed spending time with his many friends.

Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm Sunday and after 9:00 am Monday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Rd., New Albany, Indiana. His Funeral Service will be 11:00 am Monday at the funeral home chapel with private burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the J.B. Ogle Animal Shelter in Clark County or the New Albany Floyd County Animal Shelter.
