John E. Hoffman

John E. Hoffman, 85, of Clarksville, Indiana passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2022. John was born October 19, 1936 in Peru, Indiana to the late Ralph and Tressie Heeter Hoffman. John was a Lay Minister with the United Methodist Church and was a member of Depauw Memorial United Methodist Church. He was a Indiana ASA Hall of Fame Athletic Member where he served as past vice president. John was a Educator, Principal and was involved with athletic programs in each of the communities he served; Peru, Indiana, Delphi, Indiana and St. Petersburg, Florida. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Meriam Hoffman Bunnel and shared the same day of passing with his brother, Paul Hoffman. John is survived by his wife, Mary Sauter Hoffman; six children, Mike (Cindy) Hoffman, Mark (Ursula) Hoffman, Steve (Dawn) Hoffman, Alicia (Robert) Kinnaird, Joel (Heather) Hoffman and Jacob (Stephanie) Hoffman; 18 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Liz Hoffman Bauer; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial visitation for John will be held Saturday, November 5, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Rd, New Albany, Indiana 47150, followed by a memorial service at 3:00 PM.
