Joe L. Roark

Joe L. Roark 73 years of age died Monday October 24 at Baptist Floyd Hospital following a short battle with acute Leukemia. Preceded in death by his parents Robert and Virginia (Polly) Roark. He is survived by his wife, Linda Lee Roark, and a brother Robert “Bobby” Roark.
Joe was an employee of R&L Carriers for many years. Additionally, he worked as a Criminal Court Bailiff for Judge James Hancock in Floyd County.
He spent much time around horses as a breeder, owner and participant in team penning, roping and cutting. His quarter horses produced World Champions. Joe could be found with his favorite horse Maggie in the barn often.
Joe was an avid golfer - always up for a round of golf near or far with his friends.
Joe has donated his body to Indiana University Medical School. A Celebration of Joe’s life will be at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Rd. from 4pm – 7pm Tuesday, November 1, 2022, with a Memorial service at 7PM. Expressions of sympathy to St. Croix Hospice, Jeffersonville, IN.
