Joan M. (Seng) Banet

Joan M. (Seng) Banet, 80, passed away Thursday, February 27, 2020. Joan was born September 22, 1939 in New Albany, Indiana to the late William and Dorotha Williams Seng. She was a member of St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church and worked as a special needs teachers aide in the NAFC School System for many years. Joan was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 52 years, Jerry L. Banet; daughter-in-law, Melissa Myers Banet; and sister, Janice Ann Seng Riall Hendricks. Survivors include her sons, Douglas W. Banet, Gregory A. Banet (Patti), Dennis K. Banet (friend Lesa Smith), Gerald R. Banet (friend Theresa Hazel), and Brian P. Banet (Shane); daughter, Maribeth Bradley; grandchildren, Dustan, Daryl, Jordan, Tierney, Joey, Craig, and Steve; and great grandchildren, Michael, Bayleigh, Brayden, Marleigh, and Ezra. Visitation will be 2 pm ~ 8 pm Monday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am Tuesday at St. Mary of the Knobs Chapel with private entombment to follow in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany.
