James E. "Hot Sauce" Sewell

Life's journey for James "Hot Sauce" Sewell, son of the late Jimmie and Annie (Glenn) Sewell began on July 10, 1948 in Atlanta, Georgia. He answered God's call to come home and rest on May 8, 2020. James was a great son, uncle, and friend. He was a man with integrity and who had a deep love for his family, friends, and fishing. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and served in the Vietnam War.
James was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Linda Watson (Thomas) and Lydia Bennett; and half- sisters, Betty Hobson (Thomas) and Joann Johnson (Joe).
James leaves to cherish his loving memory a brother, Tom Sewell (Pat); half-sister, Alma Masden (Curt); niece and caregiver, Melissa James and her husband, Adrian; and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
There will be a drive through visitation at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana from 11 am until 1 pm on Friday, May 15, 2020. His funeral service will be private but will be live streamed on Facebook at www.facebook.com/KraftFuneral at 1 pm Friday. James will be entombed privately in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
