James A. Ruoff Sr.

James A. Ruoff, Sr., 89 years of age died Sunday, October 19, 2014 at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany, Indiana. James was born July 29, 1925 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Walter and Urana Ruoff. He was a United States Navy Veteran of World War II and a retired layout inspector with the old Tube Turns Company in Louisville. He was a member of VFW Post #3281 in New Albany. Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Joyce Taflinger Ruoff; children, Theresa Ruoff Warren, Jim Ruoff, Jr., Rhonda Abbott; grandchildren, Jeremy Ruoff, Stacy Warren, Thad Warren, Dorian Abbott; great grandchildren, Talyn Warren, Maxwell Warren, Theo Warren, and Kirby Jane Ruoff. The family would like to thank the staff at Genitive Hospice for all the care and support. Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. His Funeral Service will be 10:00 am Thursday at the funeral home chapel with entombment and military honors at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, Indiana.
