Jack Bernard Sattler

Jack Bernard Sattler, 90, passed away at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany on Tuesday, October 16, 2012. He was a veteran of WWII and served with the 8th Air Force in England. He retired from work at the VA Hospital in Louisville, Ky. Jack was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, life member of Hobart Beach Post #1693 VFW, life member and Past Sachem of Manzanita Tribe Redmen #276, Bonnie Sloan Post #28 American Legion and the 8th Air Force Historical Society. Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ann “Bobby” Bertrand. Survivors Include: Daughter: Janis Summers (Gene Wisman) Sons: Jack Sattler (Cathy) William Sattler (Jamie Ashbury) James Sattler (Teresa) Close Friend: Margaret Henninger 10 Grandchildren 13 Great Grandchildren Visitation will be 2:00 pm ~ 8:00 pm Friday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana. There will be a Rosary Service 4:00 pm Friday at the funeral home. His Funeral Mass will be 10:00 am Saturday at Holy Family Catholic Church, New Albany with burial to follow in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, New Albany Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Crusade for Children or St. Vincent DePaul Society.
