Harold L. Scrogham, age 87, of New Albany, passed away on July 13, 2022. He was born on November 9, 1934, in Bagdad Kentucky, to the late Arvie J. Scrogham and Susie Irene Parson. While in school he played basketball and became a star player. Harold was married to the love of his life in 1952, the late Donna (Mayfield) Scrogham. He worked as a truck driver for the Kentucky Lumber Company until his retirement.
Harold was a family man. He was always up for a long drive with the kids and grandkids. Harold was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting Koons. He became a Boy Scout leader and was great in the outdoors. You never had to wonder what team Harold was rooting for because he was a dedicated Kentucky Wildcat fan.
Harold is survived by one daughter, Sandra Sanders (Mike); six grandchildren, Timothy Lloyd Scrogham, Malissa Ann Leist (Ben), Michael Scrogham, Elizabeth Marie Shannon (Brett), Sara Sue Hamann (Neal), and Lindsey Casey; eleven great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and six brothers and sisters.
Along with his parents and wife Donna Scrogham he is preceded in death by two sons, Ronald David Scrogham Sr. and Harold Wayne Scrogham; along with one grandson, Ronald David Scrogham Jr.; as well as eight brothers and sisters.
A visitation for Harold will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM with a funeral service to follow at 6:00 PM at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana.
