Gilbert W. "G.W." Campbell

GILBERT W. "G.W." CAMPBELL, 86, passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2017. The son of the late Edward W. and Mary E. (Weber) Campbell, G.W. was born October 18, 1930 in New Albany, Indiana. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was an architect and owner of Gilbert W. Campbell & Associates. He was also a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Cardinal Ritter Council 1221, and A.I.A Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Alma Jean (Schnurr) Campbell; daughters, Lisa Flood and her husband, Tom, Paula McCartin and her husband, Richard, and Lynn Franz and her husband, Tom; grandchildren, Jennifer Cantrell (Jamie), Andrea Thomas (Brian), Eric Long, Meredith Sons (Jeremy), Christopher McCartin, Andrew McCartin, and Alexandra Schmidt (Drew); and great grandchildren, Brianna, Madeline, Reagan, Anna, Benjamin, Emma, Ashton, Heidi, and Noah. Visitation will be 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday, March 10, 2017 at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am Saturday, March 11, 2017 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Clarksville, Indiana with entombment and military honors following in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany.
