Francis C. Thompson

Francis C. Thompson, age 83, of Pekin, Indiana passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 19, 2022. Francis was born in Augusta, Wisconsin on May 7, 1939, to the late Keith P Thompson and Elnor Coakley Karow. He was a Veteran in the United States Air Force. Fran was a member of the VFW Post 3281 and American Legion Post 42. He was an avid fisherman, loved being outdoors and worshipped the Green Bay Packers. Fran was a jack of all trades, was always willing to help others and no project was too small. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, John Paddock Thompson and Patrick Keith Thompson. Fran is survived by his wife of 48 years, Darlene B. Thompson; two sons, Daniel Patrick Thompson (Patrice) of San Antonio, Texas and Francis Karow Thompson of Cobb, Wisconsin; one grandson, Lance Thompson; Goddaughter and niece, Jessica Johnson (Charles Dombeck); dear friends who are like family, Harry and Terese Nealy and Allen & Earlene Kolb; and nieces and nephews. A memorial visitation for Fran will be held Sunday, December 4, 2022, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana 47150, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM.
