Elizabeth R. Jenkins Talley

A memorial service for Elizabeth Roberta Jenkins Talley, 84, of Louisville will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 29, at Kraft Funeral Services’s Charlestown Road chapel. Private burial will follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. She died peacefully at her residence with her husband of 65 years at her side.

She was born Dec. 3, 1928, in Russellville, Ky., to the late Henry C. and Dorothy (McCormick) Jenkins. Her favorite exercises were playing golf, walking two or three miles and riding her bike. She loved Florida, watching the Kentucky Wildcats basketball and was an avid shopper at Macy’s and at J.C. Penney. Most of all, she loved her husband of some 65 years and her family. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include her husband, William “Bill” C. Talley; granddaughter Laura Hoffman and husband Todd; grandson Clay Talley; daughter-in-law Nancy Talley; great-granddaughter Isabella Grace Hoffman; sisters Margie J. Bottorff and Betty Butler; brothers Jay Jenkins and wife Millie and Ronnie Jenkins and wife Brenda; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved son Mike Talley.
