Dolores “Dodie” Tames Collins, 83 years of age passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at Baptist Health Floyd. She was born March 1, 1934 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Knowful and Esther (Dunn) Tames. Dodie was retired from the old ICI America in Charlestown and was a member of Tri-City Baptist Temple in New Albany. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Blanche Tames Corley.
Survivors include her children, Jack Jr. (Rhonda), Paula Shuck (Ronnie), Ed; 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday and 9:00 am to 11:00 am Saturday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. Her Funeral Service will be 11:00 am Saturday at the funeral home chapel with burial at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, Indiana.
