Delia Ina Blevins Tucker, 102, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2018. Ina was born on September 18, 1915 in Willowtown, Kentucky to the late William Thomas Blevins and Anna Mary Hunt Blevins. She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Willmer Eugene Tucker.
A resident of New Albany for over 65 years, Ina was a longtime member of Graceland Baptist Church and the Virginia Marcum Share Group. She was a loving wife and mother, and an active member of the church community at Graceland and State Street Baptist Church. Known as the prayer warrior by her friends and family, Ina was a woman of strong faith. She prayed with the less fortunate, visited the elderly in nursing homes, made comfort food for those in need, rocked our babies in daycare and devoted countless hours in prayer for her loved ones and friends. She lived a rich, full life with remarkable grace and strength.
Ina was preceded in death by her siblings, Thomas, William, Haskel, Otha, Ivan and Cecil Blevins, Veda Thomas and Neva Morris, daughter-in-laws, Phyllis Ann Hickman Tucker and Judy Tucker and her grandson, Ashton Eugene Tucker.
Ina is survived by her sister, Delora Blevins Ford. Her children, Daniel Eugene Tucker (Maryjoy), Sondra Jane Bays (Larry), Roger Dale Tucker, Richard Brian Tucker, Gregory Lee Tucker (Lorinda) and Lisa Carolyn Tucker McCoy (Mark), 13 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 20th, from 3:00 - 8:00 pm and 9:00 am Thursday at Kraft Funeral Home, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. Funeral service to follow at 12:00 pm on Thursday, June 21st at the Kraft Chapel with burial to follow in Graceland Memorial Park.
