Clarence "Denny" Dennison Jr.

Funeral services for Clarence “Denny” Dennison Jr., 84, of New Albany, will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 14, at the Charlestown Road Chapel of Kraft Funeral Service in New Albany, with private entombment in Kraft Graceland Memorial Park. He died Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at his home. Clarence was born Dec. 29, 1928, in Horse Cave, Ky. and was the widower of his wife of some 52 years, Dorothy “Jayne” Bowman Dennison, who died in January of 2013. He retired in 1993 as an employee with American Synthetic Rubber Co. after some 40 years of service and was a Marine Veteran of the Korean War. He was an avid coin collector and a member of the Falls City/Louisville Coin Club. Survivors include his daughter, Janice S. Downing and her husband, Dwayne, of New Albany; a son, Monte A. Dennison, of New Albany; four grandchildren, Amy Dennison, Miranda Jayne Downing, Conner Downing and Keisha Mahoney Robb; and one great-grandchild, McKenna Giles. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Paul, Greene, Ray and Hascal Dennison, and will be fondly remembered and missed by all his family and friends.
