Carol Ruth Zahn Eberle, 73, died Saturday, November 13, 2021, in Corydon, Indiana. She was born in New Albany to Carl Kenneth Zahn and Myrtle Ruth Dailey Zahn Brubeck. A graduate of New Albany High School, Carol married Michael Eberle in 1966 and moved to Floyds Knobs. She worked for various local banks before beginning her career as a business owner in marketing and advertising. She and her husband were heavily involved with Harvest Homecoming, and she designed their souvenir pins for many years.
Carol was a beautiful, bright, funny and vibrant person with so many people who loved her that it’s impossible to count. She was fiercely proud of her children and grandchildren. Words cannot describe how much she will be missed.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Mike Eberle, in 2009, and by her parents. She is survived by her children, Dana (Perry) Eberle-Peay and Douglas (Amy) Eberle; her grandchildren, Grant (Kassidey) Dethy, Aidan Dethy, Sam Eberle, Max Eberle, and Claire Eberle; her brother, Barry Zahn, and a plethora of friends and relatives who loved her deeply.
Carol will be cremated, and a celebration of life is being planned for a later date. Expressions of sympathy can be made in the form of donations in Carol’s name to any organization or foundation that is dedicated to eradicating Dementia and Alzheimer’s.
