Carl A. Kruse, 68 years of age, of Marthasville, MO passed away November 4th, 2017 with his family by his side. He was born June 3, 1949 in Winona, Minnesota to the late Wallace Claude and Mary Margaret (Sawyer) Kruse. In 1972 he met and married Sue Shaffer, the love of his life. Carl and Sue were blessed with two daughters and eventually four grandchildren. Family was everything, and Carl actively encouraged all of them in their varied interests, from sports to music to horsemanship. In turn they christened him Mr. Wonderful and O’ King of Mine. Carl loved holidays, family traditions, autumn leaves, pancakes, and grilling, but most of all his wife and family. He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.
Survivors include: Wife of 45 years Sue Shaffer Kruse and two daughters: Kelli Kruse Hayes (Gary) and Kim Kruse Rothermel (John). Four grandchildren: Emily, Johnny, Ashley and Zachary. Two sisters: Carol Kruse and Kathy Kruse Beard (Jim).
Cremation was chosen. A Memorial Reception will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Saturday, November 18th at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana.
A Memorial Celebration of Carl’s Life will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday in the Kraft Charlestown Rd. Chapel.
